Moore’s Law

We were looking at ways to price computing power. One of the interesting ratios is MIPS to Mhz. I guess a smart person would say cycles to instructions.

What we found is that empirically, it seems to be quite logarithmic if you ignore the multicores.

Whoda thunk it?

Not entirely clear to me how multi-core changes things.
